How to find and book TPG’s deal of the day

Since this deal is only available on select dates, the Seats.aero tool is a lifesaver when it comes to quickly finding award availability. We found the best deals from Florida’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) and Orlando International Airport (MCO) — including wide-open award availability from FLL to Owen Roberts International Airport (GCM) in the Cayman Islands for just 2,600 points one-way from December to February.

However, other East Coast airports have great deals too. For instance, you could fly from New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) to Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) in Liberia, Costa Rica, for 4,200 points one-way, or to Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) in the Dominican Republic for 5,000 points one-way. We also spotted fares from Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) to Cancun International Airport (CUN) for 3,700 points one-way.

These are just a few examples. There’s a wide variety of destinations you can reach, nonstop, via JetBlue for under 10,000 points plus taxes and fees over the coming months.

Once you have your dates, head to the JetBlue website to confirm award availability and book your flight. The calendar search tool makes it easy to see which dates have the best deals.

Most of these deals are for basic economy fares, but you could book a standard economy seat for a few thousand points more.

If you need more TrueBlue points, transfer them from your preferred credit card program before booking. Just remember that only Chase Ultimate Rewards points, Citi ThankYou Rewards points and Wells Fargo Rewards points transfer to JetBlue at a 1:1 ratio — so use these credit card rewards if you can. Amex Membership Rewards points and Capital One miles have a less desirable transfer ratio of 250:200 and 5:3, respectively.

Since transfers are irreversible, be sure to confirm award availability before you transfer your hard-earned rewards.
