An Almost Identical Set of Protective Ear Muffs As the Walker Slims!

An Almost Identical Set of Protective Ear Muffs As the Walker Slims!
At first glance, this product seems super similar if not almost identical to the quality and feel of the "walker slim", which I also have. The main difference is that this one comes with a nice travel bag that fits everything and even leaves room to spare, whereas I had to purchase a separate case for my actual walker slim earmuffs. This set includes a few patches like a skull, deer antlers and a matching pair of American flags. It also comes with a pair of ear plugs and also a 3.5mm cord to perhaps hook up a walkie-talkie function like the Walker slim has, although I'm not so sure. The earmuffs themselves are pretty comfortable and fit securely onto my head and they feel pretty durable as feel as the quality goes. It doesn't come with batteries, so you'll need to include two AAA's of your own, but once installed, the active noise cancellation works really well and I honestly can't tell much of a difference between these and my Walker slims. These earmuffs apparently provide 29 decibels of protection, and it's really hard to prove whether or not that's true, but it does definitely block out loud noises and quiets down the loud noises like it's supposed to. Overall, at this price, there really isn't much bad to say about these earmuffs for the quality and comfort of what you're getting. If you're looking for a budget option that still provides more than enough protection, I would consider picking these earmuffs up for your next target range session.

I’m a shooter and I’ve had a few pairs of Walker Razors 23dB just like most others, and I always felt like they didn’t work very well so I had to wear secondary foam plugs with the Walkers! I ended up losing them so I wanted to try these Prohear electronic muffs. Right out of the box they are comfortable and seal around the ears unlike my Walkers. The Prohear noise cancellation is more affective than my Walkers.

These work very well for when I'm using my heavier lawn care tools. I'm happy with the purchase.

I've been using these for a few months.
The construction feel solid and with good materials.
The sound isolation seems better than adequate, but at indoor ranges I always double up with insert foams, something I do with other brands as well.
But even with the double protection the sound amplification still allows me to have a normal conversation.

Color: Electronic Ear Protection-blackAmazon Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What’s this? )

I own several Walker’s electronic earmuffs, with the GWP-RSEM being my go-to — but at only 23 NRR, I wanted something with higher noise reduction. These ProHear muffs offer 29 NRR, which is a meaningful upgrade in protection.
That said, they’re a step down in build quality and ergonomics compared to Walker’s. The volume/on-off dial is stiff and tends to stick, making it a bit frustrating to adjust. Hopefully, this smooths out with use.
On the plus side, both these and the Walkers support the ProHear GEP03 gel ear pad upgrade — and I highly recommend it. The gel pads significantly improve comfort, especially for long wear sessions.
The electronic noise suppression feature works well, activating quickly enough for use at the shooting range or with power tools at home. A 3.5mm cord is included for wired audio input, but I haven’t tested it yet — I’d need to dig up a Lightning-to-3.5mm adapter for my iPhone anyway. Not a priority for me.
The battery compartment is easily accessible, and it runs on standard AAA batteries. Just be aware there’s no auto shut-off, so you’ll need to remember to power them down manually — otherwise, the batteries will drain in a day or two.
You also don’t get Bluetooth functionality at this price, unlike the Firemax line from Walker’s. I’ve tried Bluetooth-enabled hearing protection before, but found the audio performance lacking — likely due to inherent Bluetooth limitations for this type of device.
As for durability, time will tell. These are sophisticated electronics at a budget price point, so longevity may be limited. But for everyday shop use, I’m happy with them. At the shooting range, I plan to double up with foam earplugs underneath for extra protection.
